USDA issues food safety reminders prior to Super Bowl Sunday

February 8, 2024

If you’re hosting a Super Bowl party this coming Sunday, the USDA reminds you to keep food-borne illness off the menu.

Remember to wash your hands frequently while preparing food; and do not cross-contaminate dishes, surfaces or utensils with raw meat and other foods. Make sure meat and poultry is cooked to a safe internal temperature. Keep hot foods hot and cold foods cold; and refrigerate leftovers within two hours.
