1% transaction privilege tax ordinance

Prescott City Council passed the ordinance that will put the nearly 1% transaction privilege tax on the ballot for your vote in November. Council member Brandon Montoya wondered if November was too soon. But I wonder if the timeline we have to get this on put this on the November ballot is too tight in terms of the education factor that we're going to have to do, the amount of money that's going to be had to raise to support the PAC that's going to support this. In addition to building new police and fire facilities, the money would also employ 14 more police and 30 more fire personnel and support regular operations.
