Camp Verde couple arrested for alleged embezzlement from employer

A Camp Verde couple faces multiple felony fraud and theft charges, after they allegedly embezzled more than $300,000 from an employer.


According to the Camp Verde Marshal’s Office, on March 20th a local business owner reported suspicious charges to his business accounts, which were accessible by an employee. An investigation revealed that the employee and her husband had knowingly used at least $314,000 in company funds for personal gain.


The couple was arrested last Wednesday, and the investigation into the extent of the theft is ongoing.
