BLM conducting pile burns near Yarnell

The Bureau of Land Management is conducting prescribed pile burns today near Yarnell.
Crews had previously cut juniper trees across 30 acres about a mile south of town, and east of State Route 89, in order to improve conditions for wildlife and reduce fire danger.
Operations may continue beyond today if necessary.
