Arizona Corporation Commissioner Nick Myers and District 1 State Representative Selina Bliss will host a public town hall in Prescott Valley Thursday, to discuss public and private wildfire mitigation efforts.

Myers says that given recent high-profile wildfires in Hawaii and Texas, it’s important to engage with the public about new wildfire mitigation techniques used by utility companies.

Thursday’s town hall will take place at the Prescott Valley Library auditorium, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.; and will feature discussion between various utilities, governmental entities and members of the public, about ongoing efforts to prevent and alleviate wildfires.
