Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a guest at a Cordes Junction motel Sunday, after he allegedly threatened and punched another guest.

According to YCSO, responding deputies saw the 30-year-old suspect walking in front of the motel holding what looked like a large knife. When he saw them, he dropped the knife and barricaded himself in his motel room.

Deputies called in the YCSO Quick Response Team, who made entry into the room and arrested the suspect without further incident.
