Voter registration deadline for Presidential Preference Election is Feb. 20

February 14, 2024

Yavapai County election officials remind the public that the deadline to register to vote in the March Presidential Preference Election is next Tuesday February 20th.

Only registered Democrats or Republicans are eligible to vote in this election, so anyone registered with a different party, or with no affiliation, must update their registration by the 20th; and can then change it back after the election. Those changes can be made online at servicearizona.com.

Early voting starts next Wednesday, February 21st, and those on the active early voting list will receive their ballot in the mail; while in-person voting will be available weekdays at the County offices in Prescott and Cottonwood; and in Prescott Valley, next to the library.

The County Recorder’s Office advises the public that some voters have reported receiving spam text messages stating that they are not registered to vote. Officials say those messages are not from the County, and you can check your registration status online at my.arizona.vote.

Voters should have recently received a new Registration card in the mail, due to changes in precinct names, numbers and boundaries.
