Bus driver shortage further reduces Cottonwood-Oak Creek Schools routes

February 15, 2024

Due to a continuing bus driver shortage, the Cottonwood-Oak Creek School District says they will no longer be able to transport students who live within one mile of Dr. Daniel Bright and Cottonwood Community Schools, effective next Tuesday February 20th.

In a post on the District’s Facebook page, Transportation Director Daniel Maldonado says remaining bus routes will be merged and redirected; and the district will provide parents more details as soon as possible.

The District continues working to address the driver shortage, and hopes to be able to reintroduce the affected routes in the future.
