Retired YCSO K-9 Haddie sold to handler's family

March 11, 2024

The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors approved the sale of former YCSO K-9 Haddie to the family of her former partner last week.

Haddie and Deputy Travis Hartman worked together on drug enforcement for five years, and the Sheriff’s Office says the partnership was honored by the Arizona chapter of a DEA drug trafficking enforcement program; and they were involved in the combined seizures of more than 50,000 fentanyl pills and 200 pounds of methamphetamine, among other narcotics.

Haddie retired in January, and Hartman is now a YCSO detective. The Hartman family was allowed to purchase Haddie from the county for $1.
