Restrictions, closures near Grand Canyon South Entrance Station coming Feb. 16

February 14, 2024

Visitors to the Grand Canyon should expect intermittent closures on the South Entrance and Center Roads this coming Friday, due to the transport of two large transformers and a crane for the APS Substation Project west of Clinic Road.

There will be a single-lane restriction and delays on State Route 64, just south of the South Entrance station, from 7 a.m. to noon; and three 30-minute complete closures of the road and Entrance Station between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon; then three more between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m.

No vehicles will be allowed to enter or exit the park during the closures.
