Prescott woman dies after crash on SR 69

An elderly Prescott woman died in a collision on State Route 69 on Wednesday.


According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, 82-year-old Ann Gougherty was turning left from the highway onto Ramada Drive on a red arrow when she collided with a pickup truck. Gougherty was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt, and was ejected from her Jeep. She was airlifted to Phoenix, where she later died from her injuries.


The driver of the pickup truck was also seriously injured, and was treated locally.
