Prescott Valley man dies in head-on crash on Mingus Mountain

A Prescott Valley man died after a head-on crash on State Route 89-A near the Mingus Mountain summit on Wednesday.


According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, around 3:00 p.m. the southbound motorcycle was passing in a no passing zone when it collided head-on with a northbound truck. The truck then crossed over the center line and hit a southbound car.


The motorcyclist, identified as 66-year-old William Cameron, was not wearing a helmet, and was pronounced deceased on scene. The other two involved drivers were uninjured.
