An elderly Prescott man was hospitalized after being hit by a car at the intersection of Goodwin and Pleasant Streets on Friday morning.

Prescott Police say the 82-year-old was crossing Pleasant in a marked crosswalk when a car turning left onto the street failed to yield and hit him. The patient was initially taken to Yavapai Regional Medical Center, then was flown to a Phoenix-area hospital in critical condition.

The driver, a 40-year-old woman, did not show any signs of impairment; and this investigation is ongoing.
