Crash knocks out power in downtown Prescott Valley

A single-vehicle crash knocked out electricity in downtown Prescott Valley on Friday, March 22.


According to the Prescott Valley Police Department, a driver ran into an APS utility box near Windsong and Civic Drives shortly before noon; with the resulting power outage affecting the area from the Civic Center, west to Lynx Lake Estates.


APS restored power to most of the area within about an hour, with repairs nearest the crash site completed later that afternoon.


The Police Department was still investigating the cause of the crash at the time of their initial report.
