ADOT has begun preliminary work on a project to replace the J.W. Powell Boulevard bridge, across I-17, south of Flagstaff.

Weather permitting, work will gear up in April, with construction of a new bridge adjacent to the existing one, and new travel lanes connecting the new bridge to existing roads; along with other improvements.

The project is scheduled for completion this coming fall.
