Law enforcement officers arrested a Texas man south of the Grand Canyon on April 6, after a reported kidnapping at Grand Canyon National Park.

According to the National Park Service, a woman called 9-1-1 from the Trailer Village RV Park last Saturday afternoon, and told responding rangers she had been kidnapped at knifepoint by her ex-boyfriend. The suspect had fled the scene, but Coconino County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers found him near Valle, and arrested him for Disorderly Conduct.

The incident remains under investigation.
