Prescott NF conducting mastication project west of Lynx Lake

The Prescott National Forest will be conducting a vegetation mastication project at Lynx Lake, near Prescott, this weekend.
Crews will use heavy equipment to grind dead and down vegetation, shrubs and brush across 95 acres west of the lake and east of Walker Road.
Work will not require any trail closures; though visitors using the Lynx Recreation or Homestead Trails, or the Lynx or Hilltop campgrounds, should watch out for and give plenty of space to heavy equipment.
