The Arizona Department of Transportation advises the public that roadwork projects on I-17 in Flagstaff, and State Route 89A in Oak Creek Canyon and in Cottonwood will soon resume, after a winter hiatus.

The Southbound I-17 Pavement Rehabilitation project stretches from Flagstaff to the Coconino-Yavapai County line, and will also include rehabilitation work on the McConnell Drive bridge. Construction will require intermittent daytime lane restrictions weekdays; and should be complete this coming fall.

State Route 89-A in Oak Creek Canyon will be restricted to a single lane in alternating directions in the switchbacks and near the Pumphouse Wash Bridge, for erosion repair work. The project will also require occasional closures of the highway.

And crews will be doing final striping and other work on 89-A in Cottonwood, between Cottonwood Street and River Road, with daytime lane restrictions in each direction.

ADOT will provide specific details on the timing of restrictions or closures as they become available.
